Annie Lööf joins byWiT’s board
Annie Lööf joins byWiT’s board to further develop the board with new skills supporting the company’s future plans. With her extensive experience from the political arena in driving important business issues and with a great commitment to entrepreneurship, company building and impact companies, she will be an important part of byWiT’s board.
“Digitalisation is a key factor for companies to grow, scale up and drive positive impact on a broad scale. byWiT is focusing on digital challengers within a range of different industries and I look forward to contributing with my experiences in areas such as entrepreneurship and sustainable growth,” says Annie Lööf, prospective board member of byWiT.
At the same time, Monica Bergvall, Head of Direct Investment at Coeli, joins the board. Monica has solid experience from the Private Equity industry in both Sweden and London. During her time in London, she has worked for the leading Private Equity firms Duke Street and Sovereign Capital, where she, among other things, was responsible for their respective Healthcare teams. During the latest years, she has worked for Procuritas Capital and Ratos with Stockholm as a base.
“Annie Lööf’s solid experience and know-how in business affairs combined with her communicative leadership and broad network as well as Monica Bergvall’s many years of experience from investments both in Sweden and internationally will be important additions to byWiT’s board. It is also a next step in building a stock market-ready board in line with our ambition of an IPO in 2026,” says Ulf Söderström, CEO and co-founder of byWiT.
The new board will consist of chairman Thomas Karlsson and board member Johan Gorecki, both partners and co-founders at byWiT, as well as board members Annie Lööf, Monica Bergvall and Ulrika Hasselgren. Annie Lööf and Monica Bergvall are formally elected at the Annual General Meeting on June 30, 2023.
